About a week ago, Thomas got to experience his very first garden peas. It must be a good sign that he likes them because English peas were reportedly Thomas Jefferson's favorite vegetable. Good brain food, let's hope.

Give Peas a Chance
About a week ago, Thomas got to experience his very first garden peas. It must be a good sign that he likes them because English peas were reportedly Thomas Jefferson's favorite vegetable. Good brain food, let's hope.
Farmers Market Fun
The Jonesborough Farmers Market opened in May, and Thomas already loves it! (In truth, I think he likes the prospect of being strolled around town more than the prospect of ripe tomatoes. It won't be long, though, before he'll have his very own patch in the garden to grow heirloom vegetables from Monticello...or whatever he likes!)
Oh, Atlanta!
(in front of Erin and Roberto's adorable house)
Here are some pictures from our recent trip to Atlanta to visit our dear friends, Erin and Roberto, who are expecting a little boy in August! (Erin and I lived together and taught at the same school for Teach for America; and Roberto was the "mystery person" in the "Froggy Went A'Courtin'" video on the blog). We're all excited to meet little "Snarza" (our nickname for the baby since Roberto's last name is Garza and Erin's is Snell)--but Thomas is most excited of all. He can't wait to play "Country Mouse, City Mouse"!
(being silly)
(on the town)
(ready to go!)
